Positive Reviews

positive:

Leidseplein location fantastic.

The location of Quentin Amsterdam, just a minute’s walk from Leidseplein square, was a plus for guests, who enjoyed having plenty of shopping, bars and nightlife nearby, as well as being within walking distance of attractions like the Rijksmuseum, and close to tram and bus links.

positive:

Clean and cosy rooms, money’s worth.

Guests found the rooms to be clean and cosy, with good showers and some said they offered value for money — in Amsterdam you get what you pay for. Some rooms were also said to have lovely canal views, and the presence of a lift, somewhat uncommon in the city’s old buildings, was also helpful.

positive:

Staff can prove helpful.

According to reviews, the staff can prove helpful, especially while assisting with things like tourist information, although some found the service less than ideal when raising issues.

Negative Reviews

negative:

Small rooms to many.

Many of those who stayed at Quentin Amsterdam found the rooms to be smaller than they had expected, although they were generally thought to be functional with everything the guests needed on hand.

negative:

Limited breakfast choice.

Compared to other hotels they had stayed in, some guests found the continental buffet breakfast on offer to have a limited choice of food.

negative:

Beds not to everyone’s liking.

While some loved the apparently soft beds, others did not find them at all comfortable and they were a bit too short for some taller guests.
