Easy Bisquick Pizza Dough Recipe (2)

Bisquick can be used for so many different things like pancakes, dumplings, quiche, and cheesecake.

This Bisquick recipe is perfect for pizza lovers. It’s great for a weeknight pizza dough recipe because it’s fast and super simple to put together.

Ingredients needed

All you need are 2 basic ingredients. The cornmeal and olive oil are optional.

Bisquick – This recipe calls for a biscuit mix like Bisquick. Feel free to use your favorite brand, even gluten-free Bisquick. Biscuit mix can typically be found in the baking aisle or breakfast aisle at the local grocery store.

Water – This helps bind the mix into a dough.

Olive Oil – This is an optional ingredient but I do think it helps the crust turn a nice golden brown and to crisp up a little.

Cornmeal – Cornmeal adds a little bit of flavor and crunch to the crust. It is an optional ingredient but I really recommend giving it a try.

Recipe tips

  • This dough does have more of a biscuit taste. You can add in 1 tablespoon of flour to the mixture to give it more of a pizza crust taste.
  • If you want a thinner crust, make sure to roll out the dough pretty thin.
  • Divide dough into 2-3 balls to make individual pizzas for a family pizza night.
  • This recipe can be doubled to make a larger pizza.
  • For a little extra flavor, try mixing in 1 teaspoon of garlic powder and Italian seasoning.

Pizza topping ideas

One of the many things that is so wonderful about pizza is that there are so many amazing toppings that can be added. Here are a few favorite pizza toppings suggestions:

Traditional: Use your favorite pizza sauce or tomato sauce and top with shredded mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese. Add things like pepperoni, cooked crumbled Italian sausage, onions, bell peppers, fresh mushrooms, olives and more.

Specialty: Feel like something different? Try Hawaiian style with ham and pineapple or BBQ chicken with red onion and BBQ sauce. A taco pizza is also delicious with seasoned ground beef, olives and tomatoes.

Breakfast: Since this is a biscuit crust it’s perfect for a breakfast pizza. Top with eggs, bacon, chives and more for a delicious morning meal.

Dessert: Sprinkle the crust with sugar. Bake the crust first and then top with Nutella and fruit.

Serving ideas

Pizza is great on it’s own but for a complete meal try serving with some fresh vegetables like in a side salad, cucumber salad, or cut up veggies.

We also love dipping our pizza in homemade ranch or this copycat Papa John’s garlic butter sauce.

How to store

Store any leftover pizza covered in the refrigerator.

You can freeze an unbaked pizza by assembling the pizza on a pan and place in the freezer until frozen. Place the frozen pizza in a freezer safe bag or container. To bake, place frozen pizza on a pan and bake at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes.
