I always tell family and friends that Walt Disney World is the most amazing place for foodies who may have a food allergy. They do an excellent job of providing delicious snacks and meals for Guests that have special dietary restrictions. Here's a list of some items that your 6 year old can enjoy:

- Chicken tenders at Columbia Harbour House, Cinderella's Royal Table, Fronteirland, The Crystal Palace and Main Street, USA.
- Chocolate chip cookies at Be Our Guest Restaurant, Liberty Tree Tavern, Pecos Bill's Tall Tale Inn and Cafe, and Pinocchio's Village Haus.
While those aren't Mickey-shaped, they are available as gluten free versions. The end all, be all of Disney snacks, are Mickey's Premium Ice Cream bar. Yes, they are gluten free!Be sure to mention the food allergy when ordering, and cast members can give you a run down of all the gluten free treats available at that Quick Service station or Table Service restaurant.
If you're planning to have a meal at a Table Service restaurant, be sure to let the manager and your server know about your kiddo's dietary restriction in the notes section of the reservation. They will be able to create a special meal just for them, and if you mention that anything Mickey-shaped will go over well, the chef just might send a few surprises out. I have 2 kiddos with food allergies, and they've loved receiving special meals and treats made just for them directly from the chef.
